The Central Minutemen marched into enemy territory and took down their conference rival Highland Park Scots 34-24 Wednesday night.The Minutemen dominated for most of the game, shutting out the Scots until the final quarter. Highland Park had an offensive surge late in the game, scoring three times in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t quite enough.The run game proved lethal for Central, as it rushed for over 200 yards. Junior quarterback Allan Lankfard was a dual threat, rushing for over 100 yards and two touchdowns, as well as throwing for over 130 yards and a touchdown. Junior running back Lavonte Cox also had himself a night with over 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns.The defense stood strong for the Minutemen as well, forcing two turnovers in the first half, an interception and a fumble recovery. FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. - The Missouri Attorney General's Office secured a conviction against a Franklin County man for child sexual abuse and rape.A Franklin County grand jury indicted Brett Pendleton in January 2018. According to the indictment, Pendleton took an 8-year-old child whom he knew to a motel room, forced her to smoke marijuana and ingest methamphetamine, and then sexually abused the child for several hours.A family member later discovered the child, and they took her to a hospital to report the incident.The Washington Police Department investigated the matter and found enough evidence corroborating the victim's account to make an arrest. The YWCA held a candlelight vigil to honor the victims and survivors of domestic abuse."We're paying homage to the survivors of domestic violence," Lt. Officials at Pepperdine University have identified all four students struck and killed by 22-year-old driver on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Tuesday night. The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 21600 block of PCH, near La Costa Beach and east of the Malibu Pier, authorities said. The first victim to be identified by family members was 20-year-old Los Angeles native Niamh Rolston. Rolston was a business major at Pepperdine and was set to graduate with the class of 2024. Her 21st birthday would have been next month, her family said. The three other victims were identified as Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir and Deslyn Williams.
